The Broadmoor is a hotel and resort in the Old Broadmoor neighborhood of Colorado Springs, Colorado.[2][3] The Broadmoor is a member of Historic Hotels of America of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.[4] Its visitors have included heads of state, celebrities, professional sports stars, and businessmen.[5][6]
The main resort complex, situated at the base of Cheyenne Mountain,[7] is 6,230 feet (1,900 m) above sea level,[8] and 5 miles (8.0 km) southwest of downtown Colorado Springs.[9] The resort has hotel, conference, sports, and spa buildings that radiate out from Cheyenne Lake. The Broadmoor’s Ranch at Emerald Valley is a luxury lodge and set of cabins situated on Cheyenne Mountain.
Historically, national and world skating and hockey championships were held at the Broadmoor World Arena. Golf championships have been held at the Broadmoor Golf Club since 1921. The resort has also been the site of clay shooting championships.
I recently had the pleasure to stay at this world class resort. I was originally a bit skeptical but rest assured it held to all its glory and finery.
The first evening our meal was at the Penrose, fine dining with ballroom, live music and her own personal host to boot. service impeccable and food, presentation , flavor and service a 5 out of 5. I have to say the caviar, foie gras and shaved black truffle was excellent.
Spa treatments was lengthy, accommodating and absolutely luxurious. I highly suggest the head to toe peel and the signature facial. In between services either take advantage of the full spa amenities, oxygen room, hot dry sauna, stream room or lounge in the opulent Mountain View room. You are provided with heated bathrobe, slipper and private storage facility. I have given a binder with a printed itinerary of all my services. To me pleasure, lemon or cucumber water, dried nuts and fruit, large array of teas to literature if I choose.
The most interesting tidbit, was the heat toilet seat with built in ” bidet” system, for “front” or “rear cleansing” even had a pulsating or oscillating options. Interesting and pleasureful to say the least. Finally you can end with having your most intimate bits warm air dried.
No detailed was spared int he spa or ser4vices and the cusromer service was like none I was seen in years.
Worth every bit invested. Ask for Petra for the body services and Timothy for the massage.
I will be returning in the near future.
